University of Southern California. Worked at International
Institute for Applied System Analyses in Austria as a research
scholar in Resources and Environment Area.
After two and a half years at International Development Center of
Japan and 12 years with Nippon Koei Co., Ltd., founded RECS
International Inc. Stayed in more than 50 developing
and developed countries, and provided consultancy services in
various fields including urban and regional development,
environment, water resources management and social development.
One of the most experienced urban and regional planners and a new
leader in the consulting society in Japan. Published several
books and numerous papers.

professor in economics at Harvard University, professor in urban
planning and economics at Tsukuba University and also in economics
at Tokyo International University and a guest professor at Tokyo
University (urban economics), Willamette University (international
business) and University of Southern California (urban
development).
